WSOP Online Review

WSOP Online Poker Site Review - With a name like World Series of Poker, this is a site that's sure to generate a lot of buzz. Every poker player secretly dreams of playing in the World Series of Poker and bringing home a bracelet, so a site that is really affiliated with the WSOP is guaranteed to make a splash. The software is 888's poker software, so it's a fairly polished software package. American players are not accepted.

WSOP Online Poker Bonus Information

The welcome bonus seems very exciting. It promises 100% match up to $500, but actually getting that money turns out to be quite a bit of work. While the site promises that “here at WSOP.com we’ve made it all so easy!” In fact, you'll have to contribute 10x the amount to the rake. Since the rake is relatively low, you'll probably have to wager over one hundred times the original bonus to be able to get your bonus bucks! If you play tournaments, it's a little bit better, because tournament fees count as contribution to the rake. The upside is that you do get an automatic entry into a freeroll when you make your first deposit. The freeroll has a $3,500 prize pool, which can certainly be a great boost in your online poker career!

WSOP .com Deposit Methods

WSOP Online Poker does not accept US players. They do accept a wide variety of payment methods, though. They accept credit and debit cards, Neteller, PayPal, Moneta, MoneyBookers, Moneta, WebMoney, Ukash, PaysafeCard and many others. They pay out via Wire Transfer, but do not accept it as a deposit method.

WSOP Real Money Games Offered

The game selection is fairly average. Players can choose from Texas holdem, seven card stud, seven card hi-low, Omaha hi, and Omaha hi-lo. Games are available as fixed limit, pot limit, and no limit. There are a number of tournaments available, both scheduled and sit-and-go. Overall, the selection is good, but nothing terribly exciting, especially considering that the WSOP itself does include games like HORSE and 2-7 triple draw lowball. It would have made sense for the WSOP's official online site to include all of the games that the WSOP carries. Perhaps these games are still in the works.

WSOP Online Poker Software Features and Graphics

The software is 888/Cassava's software. The lobby is a little cluttered looking, but the tables themselves are easy to use, and playing poker at WSOP's online poker site is a pleasant experience. Those who are accustomed to playing live certainly won't consider it the same type of experience, but compared to other online poker sites, WSOP can certainly hold its own.

WSOP Comp Points and VIP Club

Comp points are awarded based on raked games, and can be cashed in for cash and prizes. As players acquire more points, they can climb up the six rungs in the VIP club. At each tier, the comp points are acquired at a higher rate than the previous tier. The comp points and VIP club are fairly average for online poker rooms, but give high rollers some nice benefits and make for a much nicer poker experience.

Player's Opinion of Playing Poker at WSOP.com

Overall, WSOP Online Poker is a good online poker site, though it is disappointing that they do not offer all of the poker games played in the WSOP.  Personally I'm waiting to see if WSOP VIP rewards will integrate with total rewards program.
